Why don't you play live more often?

escalation 746 has never understood how musicians can play the same song every time they perform. Each of our live appearances is completely different. Once we have got it through our heads that we are allowed to play the same song more than once in our career, more live dates will occur. Otherwise the current rate of about two per year will be the norm.

Why does the name of the artist change for different pieces?

Projects are branded with variations on the ensemble's name. escalation 501 is the remix wing while escalation 726 has an interest in electro-pop. Other variations await your discovery.

Where can I see you perform?

escalation 746 performs in a sporadic fashion, in venues centred around Limerick, Ireland. But buy a plane ticket and I'll come visit.

More concretely, I have been known to remix poetry and music, DJ music and noise, create soundscapes for theatre, develop sound installations, contribute papers on diverse topics, design posters and album art, lecture on sound art, produce recordings and so on.
